General Questions about the game

Why are there no real names of coaches, managers and other staff in FIFA MANAGER 12?
In many leagues and countries, coaches and managers are organized separately and are not covered by the league license. That is the reason, why we cannot use the real names as we would like to. However, we are working on implementing more and more countries.

Why are certain leagues (like for example the Turkish league in FIFA MANAGER 12) not part of the game?
We use a whole bunch of different licenses in FIFA MANAGER. Next to the FIFA license, these mainly are licenses of many national football associations, but also licenses of single clubs. Since all these licenses are negotiated every year, it might happen, that a deal is cancelled or the negotiations simply didn’t succeed. This however might change in the next year.

When does FIFA MANAGER hits the stores and when are the updates released?
The release date of FIFA MANAGER is around the end of October. Normally, we release four updates for every iteration of the game - One update shortly after the release of the game, one update in November and one in December. A last update (database-update) usually will be put out in February, after the winter transfer period has closed.

Why is it difficult to give an exact release date of an update?
We could release a specific date for any update, but we would have to include a security airbag, which would most probably lead to a delay of the release for you, since each update has to undergo an intensive check which needs to be reinitiated if a bug or problem is detected. We can simply not exclude the possibility that something like that might occur, because an update contains several hundred improvements which can cause new errors or problems; mainly because FIFA MANAGER is a very large and extensive game consisting of several million lines of code.

Solutions for the most common installation problems
Most problems during installation can be traced back to falsely entered serial numbers or the use of a wrong email address (one that is not linked with your EA Origin account) during activation. Typical serial number mix-ups are U and V, S and 5 or G and 6. Please check again if you entered everything correctly.

How can I play with more leagues than are allowed?
We have chosen a maximum selection of leagues in FIFA MANAGER 12, so we can guarantee a stable game experience. However, some players like to experiment and select even more leagues. This might lead to crashes and other problems and we particularly warn you to do this. For those adventurous players among you, here is what you have to do to select more leagues than recommended: Simply add the entry IGNORE_LEAGUE_LIMITATION=1 in the user.ini file and then start a new game. This enables you to select as many leagues as you desire. But please keep in mind that crashes and other errors might result in doing so.

How can you use your own database in the Live Season mode?
Add the entry IGNORE_LIVESEASON_EADATABASE = 1 to the user.ini, afterwards you can select your own database whenever you start a new Live Season game.

What are the problems concerning the awc.dll file?
This error occurs, when the Adobe AIR (Adobe Integrated Runtime Library) wasn’t installed correctly. If so, try to re-install this library (Download Link).
